Hard work, perseverance, consistency, and dedication can take a person far. I believe this is true even when a person has utterly no clue what they are doing.
Experience in a specific field or subject comes from time spent doing said ‘thing’. And at the beginning of any undertaking, the probability of a person understanding and knowing precisely what to do is probably a single-digit percentage. I would say this is true even if they recognise the subject or what the task entails.
If I had to guess. This is why many, if not most, people never push past what they can more than likely achieve. The fear of the unknown and/or the fear of failure compounded with inexperience and self-doubt.
I am reminded of the scene from John Wick – ‘John is a man of focus, commitment, sheer will…’ This is who John is and why he can do what he does. I believe if you apply these traits to almost anything, you will see results.
However, as with anything in life, the road to get there is typically long, arduous, and fraught with challenges. Nothing in life worth having is easy, as they say.
I would advise on such journeys, no matter what they are, that even the smallest achievements are celebrated. Most times, a person forgets that the journey is part of the experience, and it’s easy to get caught up in the work and feel like progress is stagnant.
With that, I am celebrating another step on this journey that I have undertaken. Vault Radio is now syndicated across multiple streaming directories.
Music is embedded in my core and is a part of the DNA that makes me who I am. There are not many memories I can recall where music has not been present. Hence, I wanted to share that and hopefully and perhaps provide that experience to other people across the world, if I can. It was always a dream of mine when I was younger.
This is just a different version of that dream.
